RICHARD III NEW YORK | BELASCO THEATRE

From its sold-out West End run, William Shakespeare’s beloved and acclaimed play Richard III is coming to Broadway this fall! With previews slated to start on October 19, 2013, Richard III opens on November 10, 2013 and will run for 16 weeks at the Belasco Theatre until February 1, 2014.

Richard, the Duke of Gloucester, is determined to be the King of England so he proceeds to dispatch the men before him in the line of succession. Shakespeare’s Richard III tells Richard’s rise to absolute power and his short reign as Richard III of England. Presented in the original way Shakespeare’s plays were staged, the fascinating tale of Richard III is brought to life onstage by an all-male company that plays both female and male roles.

Meet Shakespeare’s most unforgettable and most charismatic villain as Richard III begins previews at the Belasco Theatre on October 19 (Saturday) at 8 PM. The regular performances are at 8 PM every Wednesday, at 7 PM every Thursday, at 2 PM every Saturday, and at 3 PM every Sunday. After the opening night on November 10 (Sunday), the regular performances will be at 8 PM every Wednesday and at 2 PM every Saturday.
