War Horse, the poignant hit Broadway production, has a six-day run at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore on February 4, 2014 until February 9, 2014.
Based on a children’s novel penned by Michael Morpurgo, War Horse is about a horse from the Devon countryside named Joey and a young lad named Albert Narracott. Albert is the horse’s friend and previous owner before it was sent to France to serve as an army horse in World War I. War Horse showcases the magnificent horse puppets from the Handspring Puppet Company as they gallop and charge across the stage like real horses. Charging from the French battlefields to the Hippodrome Theatre stage, Albert and Joey struggle for survival as they try to find their way back their home in Devon.
